Here are a few pics of some bamboo bookshelves I’m working on. The first image shows about 2/3’s of the main wall unit, dry fitted with dominos.
The bamboo ply is 3/4″ thick, manufactured by Plyboo. It appears to very well made and quite strong (it seems stronger than birch ply). The downside is the cost- $244 per sheet.
I’m going to leave the raw edges as is with no lipping or edgebanding. The higher cost of the plywood is offset by the reduced labor that would have been needed to lip standard plywood.
